Our History
Mr. Siswanto Sudomo, PhD and Mr. Firdaus Siddik were assigned by the Foundation to work together to set up Insititut Pengembangan Manajemen Indonesia (IPMI), and later in 1983 they formed the Executive Committee for IPMI. Their work received financial supports from Minister Bustanil Arifin. On August 18, 1982 Minister Bustanil Arifin established the Indonesian Foundation for Management Development.
Mr. Siswanto Sudomo had met Prof. Louis T. Wells, Jr., Harvard Business School faculty who was involved in advisory work with the Indonesian government. On September 1983, the public announcement of the establishment of IPMI Business School was made at a symposium and luncheon at the Mandarin Hotel.
On September 7, 1984 IPMI Business School was formally opened until present.
